On October 15, Aramazd Gհalamkaryan, Chairman of the Water Committee, conducted a working visit to the Metsamor, Norapat, and Hovtashat communities of the Armavir region, as well as the "Armavir" WUA.

Accompanied by Marianna Shahinyan, General Director of Veolia Djur CJSC, Varsham Sargsyan, Head of the Armavir community, and several sector officials, the Chairman visited the site of the damaged sewerage system in Norapat to personally monitor the progress of restoration works. Hours after the visit, thanks to the efforts of Veolia Djur, the clogged sewer line was cleared and reopened.

As part of the visit, Mr. Galamkaryan also reviewed the ongoing maintenance activities in the collector-drainage systems passing through the Metsamor and Hovtashat settlements, which are managed by "Melioratsia" CJSC.

The Chairman also visited the "Armavir" WUA, where he held discussions with the management regarding opportunities to:

• Increase the management efficiency of irrigation systems;

• Ensure the sustainable use of water resources;

• Improve service quality and increase the level of fee collection.

Special attention was paid to the technical condition of the water supply systems, as well as current restoration and improvement programs aimed at reducing irrigation water losses.

The Water Committee remains committed to active and consistent efforts directed toward the sustainable development and more efficient operation of water infrastructure across the regions.
