Veolia Djur and Water Committee to Invest around 11 Billion AMD in Infrastructure
August 05, 2025
Following an agreement signed on July 16 between Veolia Djur CJSC and the Water Committee, amendments and additions were made to the Lease Agreement to expand investment obligations.
The agreement envisages capital investments totaling around 11 billion AMD in 2025–2026 to improve water supply and sanitation systems. The investments will be implemented jointly through the Lessor’s annual lease payments and the Lessee’s mandatory capital works program. The project will facilitate the partial rehabilitation of internal networks in Yerevan and adjacent communities. As a result of reduced water losses, an additional 270 l/s of water will be recovered for the supply network. Against the backdrop of critical water source depletion in recent years, these investments aim to compensate for current water shortages.
