Following the sealing of the Sevan intake, the Water Committee Chairman of the Water Committee Aramazd Ghalamkaryan, Deputy Chairman Martiros Nalbandyan and Head of the Irrigation and Collector-Drainage Systems Department Artyom Mkhtaryan conducted a working visit to Gegharkunik region.

The Committee leadership has conducted a series of field visits to several irrigation sectors, in particular visiting the headworks of the Sevan-Hrazdan canal, the Sevan HPP, and the Geghamavan observation point. Issues identified in various sections of the irrigation system were reviewed and discussed, and directions for subsequent monitoring visits were outlined.

The Water Committee will continue the studies with the aim of improving the controllability of irrigation systems and reducing water losses in the regions.
