Today, irrigation water intake from Lake Sevan has been officially terminated. Following the conclusion of the 2025 irrigation cycle, representatives from the RA MTAI Water Committee, the Ministry of Environment, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, "Jrar" CJSC, and "International Energy Corporation" CJSC participated in the formal sealing of the intake mechanisms. The procedure involved sealing the actuators of the lifting mechanisms for both the right and left gates of the Sevan HPP water intake.

It is noted that on June 6 of this year, the same inter-agency group had unsealed these actuators to initiate the seasonal water release for irrigation purposes. The sealing and unsealing process is strictly governed by RA Government Decree No. 488-N, dated April 28, 2016.
